Implant Dentistry

Do you have missing Teeth?
Do you wear dentures that are uncomfortable or unattractive?
Are there any foods you cannot eat because of missing teeth or loose dentures?
Are you unhappy with the appearance of your smile due to missing teeth or dentures that are poor-fitting or unnatural-looking?

If yes to any of these questions, we can restore your smile to full health, function and beauty through the procedure knowns as dental implants. A dental implant is used to support a replacement tooth, partial denture or a full denture.

Dental implants are the modern solution for missing teeth, preferred over both dental bridges for single teeth replacement and dentures for multiple teeth replacement. Dental implants have many benefits:

  • Implants look, act and feel like natural teeth. People usually don't notice any difference between natural teeth and implant-supported prosthetic teeth.
  • Implants are the strongest and longest-lasting replacement for missing teeth.
  • Implants let you talk, chew and exert pressure just like with natural teeth.
  • Implants don't require alteration to the structure of adjacent teeth, as with dental bridges.
  • Dentures give you only about 10% of normal chewing power, compared to implant- supported teeth's normal or close to normal chewing power.
  • When teeth are missing, the lack of stimulus on the jawbone from chewing causes the bone where the teeth had been to shrink. Implants preserve the jawbone, whereas dentures cause progressive bone loss. Due to the continuous loss of bone, dentures easily lose their fit. Worse, the lower face begins to collapse in on itself due to loss of bone and muscle tension. Deep wrinkles and folds also form as a result.

You can have beautiful, new teeth that are strong, long-lasting, feel comfortable, and are the next best thing to your own teeth. Implant technology can give nearly anyone the smile they want.

Implant-supported dentures are comfortable, strong, beautiful, natural-looking and allow you to eat any and all foods you like.

Dr. Hawa can stabilize patients' existing dentures or new dentures using dental implants. Patients can choose between snap-in dentures or fixed-in dentures. With either option, they will have practically normal chewing and biting power and never experience the discomfort of a loose denture. Implant-supported dentures also prevent the continuous bone loss in the lower face that leads to a prematurely aged look.
